The Stone Caverns are located below the Surface Caverns, and go down until the Subterranean Lake. Their background is made of Stone, and you can't find Dirt anymore. Using a Teleporter is very useful to explore this area, as going back to the surface without it takes a long time. Black Dwellers and Black Hounds can be found in this area, making it very dangerous. It may be best for player to avoid killing those monsters at first, and escape on sight, until he can craft better defenses or weapons.
This biome contains deposit of the Surface Caverns minerals (Iron, Coal) but also high tier ones: Aluminum, Copper and Gold
