The Skylands biome is composed of small landmasses floating at extremely high altitudes above the Floating Islands that can only be reached with the Jetpack.
The islands are somewhat closer together than Floating Islands but still care should be taken as a fall from this height will result in death unless it is into water.
Like floating islands they contain Gas Rock and Lightweight Rock but they also contain Cactus Dirt, Small cactus and giant cacti that drop Giant Cactus Seed and Cactus Log.

- Even with a jetpack it can still be necessary to construct a tower on one of the higher floating islands to reach this altitude.
- Looking for lack of rain on a floating island is not a good indicator because the Skylands are above the cloud line.
